Training for Hyper-Excited Dogs and Fearful Cats
My intention during the first part of this video was to keep Ludo from charging at the cat in the crate. I got in front of him, and down at his eye level because that often times makes it easier for dogs to settle. Ideally, I would have liked to give Ludo more space, to keep him under-threshold. Unfortunately, the apartment was only so big. I was NOT attempting any type of submissive hold, I was only waiting until Ludo was calm enough to begin training. I also though it would be helpful to show people his baseline response to the cat – prior to training.
